51-year-old disabled veteran, recently bought his 2013 Corvette, now dead at the hands of LAPD. The suspect who lead police on a high-speed chase on Friday has been identified as Brian Newt Beaird of Oceanside, California.
His brother John spoke to reporters: "This could have been handled differently. He was just scared. And I
don't know what was going through his mind at the time but I hope that
if these people did act inappropriately, that there will be justice down
the line."
